Student Leadership
Students at Meningie Area School have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through a variety of activities and programs across the school. These include the Student Representative Council, The Mini SRC, Active 8 programs, Duke of Edinburgh, the Monarto Zoo project and House Captaincy to name a few.
SRC
Student Representative Council members participate in the management of the school by serving on Governing Council as well as Core Planning, Resources and other council sub committees and working parties. The SRC executive also meets regularly with the Principal.
House Captains
Meningie Area School has two houses, Kungari (Swan) and No:ri (Pelican). Each house has captains and vice-captains. These are elected by the students in each house from Years 3 to 12.
